- We finished our last dinner in the Algarve just before eight-thirty, paid the bill and spilled out onto the pavement. 'Nightclub?' asked Nancy, the lights and sounds of the town centre beckoning.
- 'Actually I think James and I are going to head back for an early night,' April announced and after Steph's and my early departure the night before there wasn't much anybody could say. I saw Samantha looking at me and I smiled and she nodded her acquiescence. I was torn between being mildly cross with April for her high-handedness and a rising tide of desire as the dream of having a riotous night with the Amazon April started to morph into a wonderful reality. There was also a tendril or two of guilt about Sam, my wife, and I made sure I gave her a big hug and a kiss before the girls set off for the bright lights and April and I turned towards our apartment building.
